Celebrating Brenda Flyswithhawks
American Indian Advocate and Educator Brenda Flyswithhawks is also recognized by the National Women’s History Project.
Flyswithhawks is quoted as telling her students that “they come in from the spirit world with all the answers to any questions that could be put before them while they are here (in the physical world), and that she teaches them absolutely nothing.”
She is here, paradoxically (or not?) to teach them that she teaches them nothing.
And I love her name.
May we all fly with hawks.
